orem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

The grand finale of the children's summer readingprogram at Herbert Wescoat Memorial Library will be held on Mo nday, July 16 at 7:00 p.m. in the Vinton County Middle School cafetorium. This family-friendly event is FREE and all are invited to attend as M adcap Puppets presents Rumpelstiltskin, a musical adaptation of the famouschildren's tale. The Friends of the Library have rescheduled their book sale for Thursday, August 23 and Friday, August 24 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.and Saturday, August 25 from 9:30 a.m. to noon in the library&rsquo ;s meeting room. There will be children’s books, mysteries, roman ce novels, how-to-books, and much more! Be sure to stop by to pick up a f ew good sales. The early bird special on Thursday, August 23 is from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.--fill a canvas tote for $10.00 and get the tote for free !
